Expert floral advice from Alice at Euflorial

Alice Faircloth from Euflorial is one of our favourite floral creatives in the area. This nature girl creates the most beautiful arrangements for Cedar Bar ceremonies and receptions, we sat down with Alice to get some pro tips on how to nail the florals on your special day.

When did you create Euflorial?

I’ve been freelancing for 5 years now under Euflorial.

What inspired you to pursue a career as a florist?

I’ve always been a nature baby and having grown up in the area, I’ve been spoilt by the regions beauty. I like to think that the flowers found me as I did a lot of soul searching through my twenties and once the opportunity came up, it was an easy choice to pursue a life with the flowers.

What do you like about creating florals for weddings?

I get to be creative with the weddings and I get to offer my creativity to my couples and their friends and families as a gift. The gift of giving is a great feeling.

What are some creative ways for wedding couples to utilise florals at Cedar Bar & Kitchen?

Fully utilising the beams in the ceiling, hands down.

How should wedding couples choose a colour palette for their florals?

With a colour that resonates with the couple. A colour that makes them feel something. This could be related to the season they met in or their favourite landscape and its colours. Or perhaps the flowers in their family garden or that favourite colour they like to wear.

What has been your biggest wedding challenge?

Haha, there’s a couple but I think keeping the flowers happy in those summer months can be tricky. It’s all about timing.

What are the upcoming floral trends?

I don’t like to follow the trends, just the seasons.

What is your favourite wedding flower or arrangement?

I love to create ceiling installations. Bringing the outside inside sets off a mood.
